Helping to fuel New South Wales
The Clyde Terminal began its life as a refinery in 1928. In 2012 the site was converted into a fuel import, storage and distribution terminal. The adjacent Parramatta Terminal has been operating since 1964. Both terminals operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Pipelines transfer fuel received at our Gore Bay Terminal to the Clyde Terminal. Fuel products are then loaded into tankers at the Parramatta Terminal road gantry to be distributed across metropolitan and regional NSW, and jet fuel is transferred via pipeline to Kingsford Smith Airport at Mascot.
Diesel, jet fuel and gasoline are stored at Clyde Terminal. Parramatta Terminal also has a warehouse and lube oil tank farm for the supply of bulk lubricants.
Clyde Terminal operates as a Major Hazard Facility (MHF) under the New South Wales Work Health and Safety Act 2011.

The alarms at Clyde and Parramatta Terminals are a vital way of ensuring that our people on-site respond to incidents quickly and safely.
There are two types of alarms:
30 seconds of intermittent pitch of the alarm (high pitch followed by low muffled pitch). This signifies that an on-site incident has occurred that requires attention by terminal personnel.
30 seconds of continuous sounding of the siren. This signifies that an incident is under control.
The alarms are tested at 12 noon every Tuesday. An alarm heard any other time means an on-site incident has occurred that requires attention by terminal personnel.
The community does not need to take action when an alarm sounds unless instructed by the Police or Emergency Services. In the event of an emergency please call 000.
We offer local residents free fridge magnets with information about our alarms. If you would like one, please complete our online feedback form and include your postal address.
