UPDATED STATEMENT – 6-6-26
On Saturday (31/5) we experienced a technical issue that affected payments at Reddy Express stores. This resulted in some guests who used a debit or credit card being charged more than once, and in some instances multiple times, for their transaction.
We apologise for the impact to our guests, and we appreciate the difficulty this may have caused. The technical issue was resolved late on Saturday and did not impact all transactions on that date.
We can confirm that:
- all duplicate transactions have been refunded;
- we have also refunded all the original transactions in recognition of the difficulty this has caused guests.
In most cases, people should have seen the refund appear in their debit or credit card accounts. If you have not yet received your refunds or credit it is most likely because of the processing times for these transactions. We are working with financial institutions to push these through as quickly as possible.
Note that if you have contacted your financial institution to challenge these transactions, you may receive a standardised response that this has not been enacted. This does not impact your refund or credit, which has already been processed.
