On December 5, 2023, Viva Energy held a community drop-in session at the Rosewall Community Centre, Sharland Road, Corio.
Open from 3pm to 6pm, the session provided interested community members the opportunity to ask questions and to learn more about the Geelong Refinery and the associated Geelong Energy Hub projects.
Key Viva Energy participants included the Project Managers for the Gas Terminal Project and the New Energies Service Station, scheduled to begin construction in early 2024.
The focus of the session was engaging with the community and exchanging information and insight in a relaxed, informal environment.
Key areas of interest for the community were the renewable hydrogen refuelling operation as part of the New Energies Service Station and the studies being undertaken for the Gas Terminal Supplementary Statement.
