Our HSSE Management System

Our Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Management System (HSSE MS) defines our approach, expectations and key controls for managing HSSE risks across all our business operations, recognising that this is relevant to employees, contractors and visitors alike. It is reviewed annually.

To ensure the highest levels of integrity and transparency, a dedicated team that is independent of our business operations reports and tracks our performance across a range of leading and lagging indicators.

Prepared for emergencies

Timely and effective incident response, based on robust emergency response planning, is the most important factor in limiting personal injury, asset damage and environmental impact should an incident occur.

Each of our facilities has specific emergency response plans and resources in place, and our people are trained in their use. Our carriers also have emergency response arrangements in place should an incident occur during the transportation of our products.

As part of our emergency response planning, we regularly engage and consult with emergency services, the local community and other stakeholders, and conduct practical exercises to test and rehearse our responses.

We work with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) to maintain a National Marine Spill Contingency Plan. We are also a participating member of the Australian Marine Oil Spill Centre (AMOSC), contributing trained personnel and equipment under mutual aid arrangements and in accordance with the National Plan for Maritime Environmental Emergencies.
