Transaction Issues 31st May 2025 - UPDATE 2
On Saturday (31/5) some guests paying by credit or debit card at Reddy Express stores experienced intermittent EFTPOS errors due to technical issues with a payments system.
In some cases, this resulted in guests being charged more than once, and sometimes on multiple occasions, for their transaction.
The payments systems issue was resolved late on Saturday. We sincerely regret the impact to our guests, and we appreciate the difficulty this will have caused some people.
Our teams have been working hard to refund all irregular charges as soon as possible. All the refunds have now been processed, although it may take a few days for money to be processed and appear in people’s accounts.
In recognition of the inconvenience, Reddy Express is also refunding the cost of the original transaction.
In most cases, people should have seen the refund appear in their debit or credit card accounts by now.
