  1. I’ve worked at Viva Energy since January 2009.
  2. My first job was as an Office Based Account Manager – Mining.
  3. My role is as a State Operations Manager WA/NT.
  4. I help people reach their destination by delivering through my team. My frontline operators manage fuel terminals, load and unload fuel from trucks, rail carts and ships, bunker fuel onto ships and refuel aircraft all safely and efficiently.
  5. The best part of my job is my whole team.
  6. The biggest misconception people have about my role is you need to be an Engineer.
  7. I was led to this career by my love of managing people.
  8. I prefer to start the day by a big long walk along the WA coastline with my dogs.
  9. I prefer to end the day by hanging around the kitchen talking to my children.
  10. I am energised by watching my team succeed.
  11. The most interesting thing I am doing right now is working with Aboriginal United Services to give Indigenous people opportunities in throughout our supply chain.
  12. The one behavior I attribute my success to is my values because I stick to them in every aspect of living my life.
  13. The one thing that surprises me about working at Viva Energy is how approachable executive management is.
  14. The most memorable moment I had at work was when I heard Shell Aviation was coming over to Viva Energy.
  15. The worst job I ever had was as a sales person at a fashion retailer but from this, I learned to not let people take advantage of me and to never take advantage of others and their good nature.
  16. The biggest mistake I made early on in my career was not coming to Shell (now Viva Energy) earlier than I did and I learned that you don’t have to put up with a negative environment.
  17. The greatest career advice I was given was to take responsibility for my mistakes.
  18. The most important skill every person should have is to be open to everyone’s thoughts and opinions.
  19. The one topic I wish I knew more about is parenting teenagers.
  20. How do you see this role evolving over the next 5 years? There are some exciting projects happening in the West so watch this space.
  21. Early bird or night owl? Definitely an early bird.
