At Geelong Refinery in 2021 we undertook a major maintenance turnaround on the alkylation unit, incorporating over 77,000 man-hours.
The highlight involved using a 650-tonne crawler crane to lift into position a new $10 million vessel, known as V6604/5. The new vessel was built at Thornton Engineering in Geelong, is 32 metres tall and weighs 120 tonnes.
